The Girls & The Boys

Werner Schreyer for L'Officiel Hommes

I present to you this weekend's round-up of boys and girls that inspire our every single day. At first, I felt like doing a gender, color story and how in an ideal world, boys are blues and greys and girls are all orange, red and pink, but that'd be too boring. I still though follow the color scheme, but concentrate more on the photos and the people.

But anyway, as usual, what happens during my weekend posts is that there is always something I find right about certain photos and how they gel together. My problem is, I don't know exactly what it is! haha. Enjoy this weekend's post and have a great week ahead.

George II

One of my all-time favorite bags is my George (I name my bags, remember? hahaha). The Forever 21 rucksack I've been carrying around the gym, school and basically everywhere else that requires more things. Lesley's photographed the bag a lot, I believe and you've definitely seen it a lot as well.
A lot of people like this bag and it seems like I never miss a compliment when I carry it around.
Remember this look from late last year?

The very first person I saw that carries the same bag is model John James Uy. After visting THE SDA PROJECT, I stumbled upon this.

So, I guess this is George II? hahaha...

Cool, cool.

P.S. He definitely wore it better...The hell he's a model!

The Beautiful

To look at that face for an entire day...not enough
Diane Kruger for Madame Figaro

"That pleasure which is at once the most pure, most elevating and the most intense, is derived, I maintain from the contemplation of the beautiful." ---Edgar Allan Poe

Rolling In The Deep

Mugler's Fall 2011 collection, courtesy of Tommy Ton

Baby I have no story to be told,
But I've heard one of you and I'm gonna make your head burn.

Think of me in the depths of your despair

Making a home down there, as mine sure won't be shared....

The scars of your love, remind you of us

They keep me thinking that we almost had it all

The scars of your love, they leave me breathless

I can't help feeling....

We could have had it all...Rolling in the deep...

Throw yourself through every open door

Count your blessings to find what to look for

Turn my sorrow into treasured gold

And pay me back in kind- You reap just what you sow

----- Adele's Rolling In The Deep

Great Morning Style

Please, if you know him, tell me who he is...He's been wearing such fantastic things (or maybe he looks like somebody I've seen before)

Very excited to go to school today, because of what I'll be wearing. Nothing extraordinary and if you know me, I've worn that kind of look a lot of times. But it's the inspiration behind it that gets me so happy and smiley. You'll see that tonight (hopefully).

So here is our great morning style...Of course, shot by Tommy Ton for GQ and I still don't know half the people he shoots, but they're all so stylish and amazing, like this gentleman right here. It's very of the moment, what with the denim and the camel vest, but put this decades back or years in to the future, he'll look just as great. And the hair....Of course, the hair...

Who are you?

Oh well, it's off to studying...

Young Love

Miami lovin'

Such a beautiful photo.
And cause it deserves a quote, I looked for one that I believe seems fitting for this one:

" Men love because they are afraid of themselves, afraid of the loneliness that lives in them, and need someone   in whom they can lose themselves as smoke loses itself in the sky."  ---V.F. Calverton

Awww shucks, I miss being in love (and being loved in this way).
This also looks quite Rocketeer material, don't you think?

My Family

Put this on Tumblr, then place all your Tumblr-iffic quotes and what have you and it's all good.
This is my college family, one that'll most likely last for more years and decades after this final stretch of tertiary education. They say in the real world you'll find lots of friends, meet lots of people, but probably find so little "real" in them...I'm happy that I was gifted with great friends since elementary to college, cause these ones, are real people, the kinds that are rare to come by.

I love you guys and this is no post to get sentimental or super sappy over yet...When we do get the final picture, when we're say, days before graduation (Lord, let us graduate) that'll be the picture to get all pancake syruppy on.
In the meantime, cheers to the coolest, most beautiful and real people you'll ever find in the world, or at least, this side of it.

P.S. First photo up top was from second year college, then third year for the two in the middle and then at the bottom was taken today...
I need a fucking haircut.

Bacchus

Garrett Neff as god of wine and intoxication...Of course, Baptiste plays Zeus, right?
Garrett Neff plays Bacchus for Karl Lagerfeld's lenses and photos for the 2011 Pirelli Calendar (which I'm pretty much planning on getting). Garrett, I think this the time to get your rightful place back in the modeling world...You're now 36, and with a face like that and a body really fit for a Greek god, you have to get back to at least 10.
OH, you and Isabeli Fontana would make such an amazing couple.

The Face(s)

Dolls...check out more of the amazing photos here

French VOGUE, always the stunner.
That (Sasha's) face could be the face of our generation. That's the face that allured me into fashion and lips that are caught in between an exhale and a sigh and eyes that look like two distant lights up a dark tunnel...The power of Pivovarova, never fails to amaze me.
Beautiful.
Ava, on the other hand, is an angel. I wonder who she is...

New York

I just seriously want to pack all my things, drop everything else, rob a bank and head up to my favorite city in the entire world...
Such a beautiful city. Just getting off the train is already inspiring...Imagine that.

Hello, Doutzen

Is it me, or is FLARE magazine an exact copy of American VOGUE?
Check out the fonts.
Well, I'll do research on that. It's Canada's fashion bible and I am madly in love with Doutzen Kroes face. She's too beautiful, it's almost a sin. And check out the Prada dress man (hahaha). SEXAY!
I love the cover. I've been an eternal fan of naturally lit magazine covers. And I have always had this magazine cover in mind of putting beautiful women in handsome dresses sitting or perched on elegant couches. For me, it's such a classic and elegant look that even the billionth generation in the future would be delighted in.
Hmmm...I wonder if it's worth having shipped from Oh Canada to Manila?
What you think?
I hope it's thick enough to be worth it.
